As mentioned in the latest articles before La Rompiente fine dining restaurant closed for holiday on 1 January 2016, this new new year will be full of surprises. First of all the good news is that the restaurant opens again on 3 February 2016. From that day you can enjoy the finest and most exclusive dishes from Wednesday till Sunday. Please find the opening hours below.

Free Torrox migas every Sunday

As usual you can enjoy these finest and most exclusive dishes both during lunch and dinner time. For lunch time, however, we have got a couple of surprises. First of all we continue with our free Torrox migas every Sunday between 12.30pm and 3.00pm. La Rompiente fine dining restaurant started this after the 2015 Fiesta de las Migas in Torrox because Carlos Morata believes that everybody should have the opportunity to know the famous Torrox migas all year long.

The restaurant´s concept of free Torrox migas every Sunday has been appreciated by many people from all nationalities. But they have introduced another surprise for 2016: new fantastic dishes, more variety of cocktails for after lunch and after work. Yet, in this article La Rompiente fine dining restaurant Torrox would like to introduce the new special and traditional lunch dishes that include dessert. As usual, these dishes are made with seasonal ingredients taking care of selecting the best quality as well as a nice combination between classic and modern cuisine.

WEDNESDAY: Roasted Quail with applesauce and bed of potatoes pastry.

THURSDAY: Vegetarian Moussaka out of the oven, fantastic.

FRIDAY: Deboned Rabbit “Al Ajillo”, with herbs, chardoney and of course a little of garlic.

SATURDAY: ​Grandfather Rafael’s lentils. Delicious traditional stew from Madrid.

Price of the special, traditional lunches is 10 Euros including dessert.
Every Wednesday till Saturday from 1.00pm until 3.00pm.

SUNDAY: Free Torrox Migas from 12.30pm until 3.00pm

At La Rompiente you can enjoy the most delicious starters, salads, meats, traditional specialities, desserts and drinks. Opening hours from Wednesday till Sunday 1.00pm till 10.30pm. Kitchen closes between 3.00pm and 7.00pm but during these hours you can enjoy our drinks and cocktails.

Warum feiern wir die Fiesta de las Migas im weißen Dorf Torrox nur in Dezember? Wir haben eine gute Nachricht für alle die nicht mehr bis Dezember nächstes Jahres warten möchten!

Natürlich kennen Sie unsere Torrox Migas schon. In der Vergangenheit waren diese Migas meistens gegessen durch die Landarbeiter während langen Arbeitstagen auf dem Land. Torrox News Noticias -­ ​Fiesta de las Migas ahora semanalmente gracias a Restaurante La Rompiente Torrox-Costa, dentro del marco para dar a conocer  la cocina típica española

El pasado 13 de diciembre se celebró en el pueblo blanco de ​Torrox​ la famosa ​Fiesta de las Migas.
Estas ¨​migas​¨ son un plato tradicional, delicioso y local compuesto entre otros ingredientes por
migas de pan, panceta y chorizo. Por todo el pueblo de ​Torrox​ mucha gente local, invitada y
extranjera ha disfrutado de este plato típico local durante todo el pasado domingo. En la historia
eran los trabajadores del campo que tradicionalmente comían estas ​migas​. En base al trabajo duro
en el campo se consideraban las ​migas​ como una manera de alimentarse economica y nutricional,
aprovechando pàra ello el pan atrasado y los frutos de temporada (uvas, granada, naranja,
manzana…).

Torrox News – Every Sunday migas for free at La Rompiente fine dining Torrox – Weekly Fiesta de las Migas

Last 13 December the famous Fiesta de las Migas was celebrated in the Spanish white village of Torrox. These ¨migas¨ are a traditional, delicious, local dish that – among other things – exists of breadcrumps, bacon and chorizo (Spanish sausage based on garlic and paprika). All around the village of Torrox the many locals and visitors enjoyed this traditional dish all Sunday long. In history these ¨migas¨ were mostly eaten by the agricultural labourers during long working days on the land. Because of the hard work on the land, the ¨migas¨ were considered best for good daily nutrition.

Carlos Morata, owner of La Rompiente fine dining restaurant in Torrox, got the idea to bring the Fiesta de las Migas also to Torrox-Costa. He says: ¨Given the fact that most expat residents and foreign tourists visit Torrox-Costa rather than Torrox-Pueblo, we wanted to give them the opportunity to know our tradition and especially our most famous local dish¨. For this reason La Rompiente fine dining restaurant in Torrox-Costa also offered migas for free last Sunday 13 December.
